Misconceptions about milk

Many ideas are circulating on milk and dairy products. Are they can cause rheumatism? Calcium is he losing weight? What links ear infections, cardiovascular disease, neuro degenerative disorders and even cancer? Some clarification on the persistent rumors.

Milk causes rheumatism

Factors favoring rheumatism are known sports injuries etc… Thus the milk does not appear to play supporting role. If you look at the knee, the consumption of milk is even more protective.Similarly if you look at rheumatoid arthritis, dairy products or vitamin D appear to play a protective role.

Milk does not prevent osteoporosis

Our capital depends bone to 60% of our heredity and 40% of our food and our physical activity. To reach its peak bone, so there is no secret that the calcium and protein are essential. A bowl of milk provides 25% of calcium intake. As Jacques Maisonneuve, no dairy products in food make it impossible to completely cover the calcium requirements. Milk is therefore essential to prevent bone loss after 50 years, and then the famous osteoporosis. Certainly, critics will point out some Asian populations that do not suffer from bone problems without consuming lots of milk. But the diet is completely different here, and living conditions. Cannot compare.

Other rumors accuse animal proteins cause acidosis, which will destroy the bone instead of manufacturing. But as pointed Patrice Fardellone is completely far-fetched: the bones do not bathe in the blood, and could not be attacked after a possible increase in acidity. And experiments have shown that no less calcium removal if it replaces animal protein with plant protein.
