Despite its name, this diet was developed in the famous clinic in Rochester, United States (Mayo Clinic as it never ceases to clarify).

However, a diet is effective in many cases, provided that the instructions to the letter and is made after medical advice.

This diet is based on the following general rules:

- No follow for more than fourteen days. You must wait at least a month before repeating

The Mayo Clinic diet eating plan

Every day:

Breakfast: one grapefruit, two boiled eggs and coffee without sugar.
Collation: A seasonal fruit

Monday

Lunch: two boiled eggs, a salad without oil or coffee without sugar.

Dinner: two boiled eggs, a tomato and coffee without sugar.

Tuesday

Lunch: a churrasco (steak), a tomato, lettuce, celery, cucumber and coffee without sugar.

Dinner: two boiled eggs and grapefruit.

Wednesday

Lunch: Two lamb chops, celery, cucumber and coffee without sugar.

Dinner: two boiled eggs, spinach and tomatoes.

Thursday

Lunch: two boiled eggs, cottage cheese, boiled cauliflower and a slice of toast.

Dinner: two boiled eggs, spinach, tomatoes and coffee without sugar.

Friday

Lunch: boiled fish v no oil, lemon and a slice of toast.

Dinner: two boiled eggs, spinach and coffee without sugar.

Saturday

Lunch: a steak (beef steak), tomatoes and grapefruit.

Dinner: a fruit salad anyone (the amount you want).

Sunday

Lunch: grilled chicken and shredded carrots.

Dinner: grilled chicken, tomato and a grapefruit.

Tips on the Mayo Clinic Diet

- Where there is a white celery, will eat at least green celery leaves.

- Vegetables and meats can be eaten with butter, not olive oil

- We need to drink plenty of water and diet soft drinks with little gas, both at meals and throughout the entire day.

- In the coffee and the fruit salad, you can use to sweeten sweetener.

- Of the foods that do not indicate the amount, you can eat at will.
