Already 100 000 Nutrinautes!

Launched fewer than 6 months, the call to participate in the largest nutritional study ever conducted, NutriNet Health, has already recruited more than 100 000 volunteers! Researchers hope to recruit 150 000 people the first year and 500 000 over 5 years, hence the interest to remember the significance of this unusual study.

The purpose of this study is to better understand the relationship between nutrition and health but also to examine our eating habits. But who are the Nutrinautes?

First interesting fact is that 75% of them are women, which is not very surprising. Indeed, women are generally more concerned about their health than men.

Regarding age, 56.6% of Nutrinautes are under 45 years. The 45/55 years and 55/65 years totaling more than 35% of Nutrinautes. 15% of registrants are retired, while 62.3% employed and 5.9% do not.

The combined data can also be noted that there are significant regional disparities regarding participation. On the podium we find Britain, followed by the Rhone-Alpes region and the Pays de la Loire. At the bottom of the table, we find the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Limousin and Corsica in last place. As for Nancy-based driver, to Rennes and Rouen, they can claim to be the podium of cities over 100 000 inhabitants where the greatest proportion of Nutrinautes!
